We are so thankful for the MGFA and their research that has advanced some of the treatments which we hope will bring a cure to this debilitating disease. This year Donna is seeking new treatments which have just been approved by the FDA for MG. She will be going in May to meet with Dr. Khella (Penn Presbyterian) to find out if she will be a candidate for the Soliris. Many other MGers have started using Soliris with great results from lowering their Prednisone dosage to walking without assistance for a mile. Please continue to keep us in your prayers and that the new treatment will be covered by insurance and then work in allowing Donna some of the freedoms she has been missing being unable to drive or walk distance without assistance.
The MGFA is the only national volunteer health agency in the United States dedicated solely to the fight against Myasthenia Gravis (MG). MGFA is committed to finding a cure for MG and closely related disorders, improving treatment options, and providing information and support to people with MG through research, education, community programs, and advocacy.
Please register to walk with us OR make a pledge to help us reach our goal! As Donna continues to battle this disease we covet your prayers that through the treatments of Intravenous Immunoglobulin and other medications it will enable her to maintain a better quality of life. We are thankful for the good days when Donna gets out and enjoys the time with our family and friends, especially our grandchildren!
Together We Can Make A Difference!
