Thank you for visiting our Low Country SC MG Support Group walk team fundraising page! Whether you register to walk on May 19th and donate or make a donation online, you will help to make a difference in the lives of people who have myasthenia gravis (MG). MG has no cure. You can help to raise awareness about MG and help to generate research funding.
Our support group meets monthly on every 3rd Saturday at the East Cooper Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. Established in 2010, our group was the first Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA) support group in South Carolina. Over the years we have grown -- new people join and others leave. Many have been attending meetings since we began. The constant theme of our group is fellowship, comfort, support, and respect. We are a family. When one of us suffers, we all suffer. When one of us reaches a goal, we all celebrate. That is why we are committed to the South Carolina MG Walk to help increase awareness about this rare disease and raise funds for research to find a cure for MG.
The MGFA is the only national volunteer health agency in the United States dedicated solely to the fight against myasthenia gravis. MGFA is committed to finding a cure for myasthenia gravis and closely related disorders, improving treatment options, and providing information and support to people with myasthenia gravis through research, education, community programs, and advocacy.
Please register to walk with us OR make a pledge to help us reach our goal!
