Thank you for visiting my "MG Walk" personal fundraising page!
I am excited to be supporting the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA) through the MG Walk. The MGFA is the only national volunteer health agency in the United States dedicated solely to the fight against myasthenia gravis.
MGFA is committed to finding a cure for myasthenia gravis and closely related disorders, improving treatment options, and providing information and support to people with myasthenia gravis through research, education, community programs, and advocacy.
Please register to walk with me OR make a pledge to help me reach my goal!
Together We Can Make A Difference!
I have had M.G. since 2006, it has turned my world upside down. I no longer can enjoy the simple things, things most people take for granted. On most days my right eye is drooping, and I have double vision so I usually keep one eye closed. I have trouble breathing if I do anything that requires a lot of physical activity, so I have to be careful on what I choose to do. I have to be careful what I eat because I get choked very easily, there for I just can't eat any where. I have a very low immune system so I am very careful about going places with a lot of people and I cannot be around anyone sick, even if they have just a simple cold. This is just a few things I live with, I take on the average 15 pills a day. I have broken my back in 3 different places, my right femur bone, and numerous ribs from taking too many steroids. These are just a few ways that my life as changed.
THIS IS WHY I WALK FOR A WORLD WITHOUT MYASTHENIA GRAVIS
