Thank you for visiting my "Bands for Bliss MG Walk" personal fundraising page! We can't wait to get our bliss-ters on as we walk in celebration of my mom, Lucy Bliss Dayton, and in support of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA).
As some of you know, this past fall my mom was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune neuromuscular disorder that causes extreme muscle weakness - in my mom's case, it primarily impacts her vision and speech.
For those of you who know Lucy, it will come as no surprise that she’s braved the past many months with her usual tenacity and strength, splitting time between Helena, Bozeman and Raleigh and undergoing various tests, treatments and evaluations, as we work to best manage her disease.
The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation is the only national volunteer health agency in the United States dedicated solely to the fight against myasthenia gravis. MGFA is committed to finding a cure for myasthenia gravis and closely related disorders, improving treatment options, and providing information and support to people with myasthenia gravis through research, education, community programs, and advocacy.
Please register to walk with us OR make a pledge to help me reach my goal!
