On March 5th was the 5th year anniversary of my mom's death. As one of the ways we are honoring her each year is by walking in The Myasthenia Gravis walk This was the disease that my mom had. We walked the last year three years and I was chosen to speak at it as the HERO of the walk the first year in 2014. What a surprise and honor that was .
Mom being a teacher for 40 years always educated others. As a way to remember her we can help raise money and awareness to educate patients and families about MG. ( take some time to check the website and info on MG) My mom's best friend has also been diagnosed with MG and we are learning more with her about the disease and things she can do. We have also attended a support group with her for MG to learn more about the prevention, education and research being done.
Thank you for visiting my "MG Walk" personal fundraising page!
I am excited to be supporting the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA) through the MG Walk. The MGFA is the only national volunteer health agency in the United States dedicated solely to the fight against myasthenia gravis.
MGFA is committed to finding a cure for myasthenia gravis and closely related disorders, improving treatment options, and providing information and support to people with myasthenia gravis through research, education, community programs, and advocacy.
Please register to walk with me OR make a pledge to help me reach my goal!
