Thank you for visiting my "MG Walk" personal fundraising page!
As most of you know I have MG and this is a disease that is problematic, ever changing and can be incredibly difficult. We walk for awareness. We walk for a cure and we walk because we can still walk!!! At 37 years old living with this illness is challenging but with an amazing support system anything is possible!!!
We are committed to raising as much Awareness as possible as this illness is very rare and not very well known. Treatment helps but a cure is needed. We have chosen to try to raise $4000. We have chosen this amount to represent $1000 for the 4 years that I have been officially dealing with the Diagnosis of this disease. For me I have battled the disease for many years but unfortunately I went undiagnosed and then received several diagnoses that were incorrect. It was 4 years ago that a doctor first told me that I needed to research the term Myasthenia Gravis. From there I have researched and traveled to see specialists that could confirm my diagnosis and determine the appropriate treatment plan.
I consider myself to be extremely blessed with an amazing wife an an incredible support system. Each day is a blessing and I am thankful for I know that things could always be worse!!!
I am excited to be supporting the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA) through the MG Walk. The MGFA is the only national volunteer health agency in the United States dedicated solely to the fight against myasthenia gravis.
MGFA is committed to finding a cure for myasthenia gravis and closely related disorders, improving treatment options, and providing information and support to people with myasthenia gravis through research, education, community programs, and advocacy.
Please register to walk with me OR make a pledge to help me reach my goal!
