Thank you for visiting my "MG Walk" personal fundraising page!
I'm back again this summer raising awareness and money to help with treatment and research. It's a somewhat rare auto-immune disease in which the body attacks specific muscle groups.
My father has the ocular form, which means that muscles in his eyes and eyelids can be weak if not non-functional. Unfortunately, my dad has been out of remission for a couple years. Most days he only has use of one eye. Basic things like driving and watching movies have become incredibly difficult. For those who have met my dad, you know he is stubbornly trying to maintain his routine...as evidenced by all the dents and scratches on his car.
Due to lack of funds, there was no walkathon last year, which means we need your support more than ever!
My parents and I are going to match whatever I can raise in donations. Two years ago, donations ranged from $5 to $100, and we raised over $1,000! So, anything you're willing or able to donate goes a long way!
MGFA is committed to finding a cure for myasthenia gravis and closely related disorders, improving treatment options, and providing information and support to people with myasthenia gravis through research, education, community programs, and advocacy.
Please register to walk with me OR make a pledge to help me reach my goal!
